A welcoming haven
I discovered the Dallas Yoga Center many years ago like most people do, taking a weekend course with a visiting teacher. That was twenty-five years ago, and the center continues to delight me with its tradition of daily classes taught by big-hearted, well-trained yogis and hosting special instructors.
When asked where I practice yoga, I am always happy to say, "the Dallas Yoga Center." The environment is so welcoming and relaxing. The instructors and staff always greet you with a smile and ask how they can help. Namaste.
With classes that focus on strength, flexibility, even relaxation, there is something for every type of practitioner at DYC. Whether you have practiced for 30 years or have never set foot in a yoga studio, the instructors here can help you do yoga right.

Questions we hear a lot
I have never done yoga. Where do I start?
Start with an Align class, a Community Yoga class, or a gentle Flow. These focus on fundamentals, use props, and offer modifications for every posture. Let the teacher know you are new when you arrive and they will look after you. Whether you can touch your toes or not, we have a class to meet you where you are.
What should I bring and wear?
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Bring water and a mat if you have one, though mats and props are available at the studio. Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to sign in, meet your teacher, and settle in.
How does membership work?
We do things a little differently: no contracts, no sign-up fee, and no cancellation fee. The unlimited monthly membership is $89 a month and includes in-studio classes, livestreamed classes, and the digital archive. You can also drop in for a single class or buy a class pack. Cancel anytime.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. We offer 10% discounts for seniors, military, teachers, and students. Ask us when you sign up.
Are classes suitable for all levels?
Yes. Our classes welcome all levels, and every class includes alignment cues, hands-on adjustments, and intelligent sequencing. If you are brand new, start with our beginner-friendly classes and build from there.
